About

TEDx Memphis

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks.

TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.

Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world. TEDx are local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks from live speakers and video combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event.

Since launching in 2015, TEDxMemphis has produced more than 100 TED Talks from innovative speakers showcasing groundbreaking ideas that have the potential to shape our city and our world.

TEDxMemphis is excited to bring a series of dynamic, engaging, and thought-provoking TEDTalks to the Mid-South.
